About Adams/Smith Family
I have been searching out my family tree now for 3 years. I had a rough start, until
I met Jillian Smith, who is the wife of Phillip Bogdonoff III, who is my 6th cousin
once removed. He is related to Orcelia (Barber) Adams, who first married Horace
Adams and after his death she married his brother James Otis Adams. To make it even
harder at one point Orcelia went by Celia in town records and James went by Otis,
making it very hard to track and trace. Jillian helped me get it straightened out,
and she also found a book for me that pretty much laid out most of the family tree
that you see here. Although, I have found some things that seem inconsistent, so as
I look at each name I try to see if there is any other information that is now
available that may not have been available to them back in that time period.
Just recently I met a person that is related to Capt. Edward Adams and the exciting
thing is he had pictures that he was willing to share. His name is Chris Yoder, he
is, if I have it right, the great, great, great grandson to Capt. Edward.
I have recently been to Adamsville, Massachusetts, which Edward Adams, father of
Capt. Edward, was responsible for founding. There will be more information to follow
on Adamsville once I get more information put together.
There are so many interestings facts that I have discovered, which you can see as you
travel through the family. The information/intersting facts will be in the box next
to the person's name in the middle of the page. For each person in the middle you
will see their parents above then, sibblings and any other information about them
below them. To see the next person just click on their names, you will see each name
highlighed in blue. My straight blood line will have a red highlighted box next to
the name.
I hope you have as much fun traveling through time and learning about the family as I
have had and am still having. Once I have "finished" with the Adams side of the
family I will start working on the Smith side. The Smith side has proven to be much
more difficult to trace than the Adams side was. Hopefully soon I will get a break
like I did with the Adams side.
